Happy Monday to ya! I hope you had a great weekend! Mine was filled with trying to get everything I can't seem to fit into the week crammed in! Prepping for this competition is like having another full-time job! I can't believe I only have five more weeks to go before I hit the stage! Anyhoo, I recently made some changes to my meal plan because the protein powder (which I was reluctantly using in the first place) started making me not feel so hot after drinking it.

I can't believe it's Wednesday already! My weeks as of late have been a bit of a blur between work and training. Last week I had to deal with some plumbing issues in my apartment, so that added another challenge into the mix. I'm happy to say though that I stayed on track and kept pushing through! Anyway, you haven't "met my meals" lately because they have all been the same due to my competition meal plan! I am however, able to have one meal a week where I can indulge and deviate from the food reruns I have each day!

I can't believe we are already into April!! So, it's time again! Our friend Chris at runhundred is hookin' us up with the workout tunes for the month! Good music while I workout has always been important to me, but it has definitely taken on an entirely new meaning during my competition prep!

Happy Monday to you! Hope you had a great weekend! One recent and happy development I had in my competition meal plan was the return of my beloved avocado! It was not originally in my plan, but since I'm not a fan of eating almond butter (two tablespoons daily were in my plan) by itself, I got to swap that out for the avocado!

As many of you know I strongly discourage the consumption of soda of ANY kind at ANY time. I liken it to drinking bleach. So, the next post I dug up from the archives was a video about soda and for all of you that think diet is better, this will show you why it's not!
